Facilities that provide relatively independent seniors with supervision, assistance, and limited health/wellness services in a home-like atmosphere.  Assisted living services include 24-hour protective oversight, food, shelter, and a range of services that promote the welfare of residents.  These facilities are private pay and, in Illinois, are required to be licensed.
