Lombard, IL – AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois is thrilled to announce that the Senior Lifestyle Expo will welcome back thousands of older adults to their two-day event from 9 am to 2 pm on Tuesday, August 23rd and Wednesday, August 24th at Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.
To celebrate the return of the Expo in person, AgeGuide is kicking off this two-day event with a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 8:30 am to celebrate the return of the Expo in person and welcome new and returning attendees. Paula Basta, Director of the Illinois Department on Aging, and Marla Fronczak, Chief Executive Officer of AgeGuide, will kick off the ceremony with local officials.
The Senior Lifestyle Expo, the largest annual Expo in Chicagoland for older adults, was created to help educate and empower older adults to remain independent and connect them to resources for people no matter where they are on their aging journey. This year’s event will feature a wide variety of exhibitors, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Health and Wellness Pavilion, a technology showcase, a Caregiver Connections area, and educational seminars.
The Expo is hosted by AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois, the Area Agency on Aging for DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will counties. The 27th Annual Senior Lifestyle Expo is sponsored by Electronic Caregiver, AARP, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, ComEd, Humana, Zing Health, Hearing Life, Senior News 50 and Better and Seniors Blue Book.
