About the Home Delivered Meals Program

Home Delivered Meals provide older adults with a daily hot meal, well-being check and a few moments of friendly conversation. Eligible clients receive meals mid-day, during scheduled delivery times, up to five days a week. Meals are approved by Registered Dietitians and provide 1/3 of the daily nutrition needs of the average older adult. In some areas, optional meals may be available for individuals needing pureed foods or vegetarian diets.

A suggested donation is requested and appreciated for all meals, however, it is not required. There is no income or asset requirement for home delivered meals. No one is denied a meal if unable or unwilling to contribute. 

Home Delivered Meals Eligibility:

  • Care Coordinator completes in-home assessment and referral for home delivered meals
  • Age 60+ and live in designated service area
  • Contact Care Coordination Unit (CCU) in your area for more information

About the Community Dining Program

Community Dining allows older adults to enjoy a meal in a welcoming environment with fellow friends and neighbors. Meals are available throughout the AgeGuide’s eight county service area each weekday. Meals are served once a day, five or more days a week, to eligible individuals. Community Dining sites are easily accessible at safe facilities. Meals are approved by Registered Dietitians and contain 1/3 of the daily nutritional needs of the average older adult.

Community Dining Eligibility

  • Age 60+
  • Spouses of eligible individuals, regardless of age
  • Individuals with disabilities residing with an eligible individual
  • Contact Nutrition Provider (NP) in your area for more information
  • You must call to register and reserve a meal prior to attending any community dining site
