Older adults face rising costs of living, from food and medications to housing and utilities. Yet, many are unaware that help is available—or unsure how to access it. To offer some relief, Boost Your Budget Week highlights benefits that can make everyday living more affordable and secure.
From April 14–18, 2025, the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and partners across the country, including AgeGuide, are encouraging older adults, caregivers, and service providers to take action by learning about and enrolling in public and private benefit programs that support health, independence, and financial stability.
Why Boost Your Budget Week Matters
Programs like Medicare Savings Programs, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), and property tax relief can offer significant financial relief each month.
But accessing these resources can feel overwhelming. That’s where AgeGuide and local aging service providers come in—to help older adults and their caregivers navigate benefit programs and complete applications with confidence.
Your Benefits Could Be Just a Click Away
