Lombard, IL – AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois announces the Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA) designation of following agencies to provide the Adult Protective Services Program:
- DuPage County Community Services (DuPage County)
- Senior Services Associates (Kane, Kendall and McHenry Counties)
- Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Chicago (Lake County)
- Catholic Charites, Diocese of Joliet (Grundy and Kankakee Counties)
- Senior Services of Will (Will County)
The designation of Senior Services of Will County as the Adult Protective Services Provider is a transition of services from the current provider, Guardian Angel Community Services. Marla Fronczak, Chief Executive Officer of AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois said, “Will County Senior Services is an established and trusted provider of older adult services in the community. We are confident this will be a seamless transition.”
The Adult Protective Services (APS) program conducts investigations and works with adults aged 60 or older and adults aged 18-59 with disabilities in resolving abuse, neglect or financial exploitation situations. All APS agencies are contracted by the IL Dept. On Aging to perform this service. In Will County, IDoA made the decision to transition the program effective October 1, 2022.
More information is available regarding the Adult Protective Services and program providers on the Illinois Department on Aging website at https://www2.illinois.gov/aging/ProtectionAdvocacy/Pages/abuse.aspx.
