Lombard, IL – AgeGuide, the Area Agency on Aging for Northeastern Illinois, has announced they are soliciting Letters of Interest from non-profit and local government organizations qualified to receive Federal/State of Illinois financial assistance grants to provide services for older adults (age 60+) as authorized under the Older Americans Act of 1965 in their eight (8) county Planning and Service Area consisting of DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties. The funding period begins July 1, 2022 and ends June 30, 2023 with an option to extend the contract for an additional two years.

Program available for the funding opportunity include:

  • Adult Protective Services

Adult Protective Services (APS) is a social services program to support older adults age 60 and older and adults age 18-59 years old with a disability experiencing abuse, neglect, self-neglect, or financial exploitation. APS programs investigate reports of maltreatment; provide support and, in some cases, case-management; and connect those facing abuse to a variety of protective, emergency, and support services.

Successful applicants must comply with all applicable pre-qualification requirements including, but not limited to, current DUNS and SAM numbers, acceptable fiscal management/fiscal stability, are in good standing with the Secretary of State and not on any Debarred/Suspended/Stop Payment/Excluded Parties listings.
