Lombard, IL – AgeGuide, the Area Agency on Aging for Northeastern Illinois, is accepting applications for funding from non-profit and local government organizations qualified to receive Federal/State of Illinois financial assistance grants to provide services for older adults (age 60+) as authorized under the Older Americans Act of 1965 in Grundy and Lake counties. The funding period is November 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024.

Fundable services include:

  • Title III-E Caregiver Counseling Center in Grundy County
  • Title III-E Caregiver Counseling Center in Lake County
  • Title III-E Caregiver Resource Center in Lake County

“We are excited to announce this funding opportunity in Grundy and Lake counties.” said Marla Fronczak, CEO of AgeGuide. “Our Caregiver services are crucial to the health and wellbeing of the caregivers in our communities. This grant is an excellent opportunity for us to foster new partnerships and build on previous relationships with local organizations that see the value and importance of providing assistance to un-paid family caregivers.”

Successful applicants must comply with all pre-qualification requirements including, but not limited to, current UEI numbers, acceptable fiscal management/fiscal stability (including the ability to meet matching requirements) and good standing with the Secretary of State and are not on any Debarred/Suspended/Stop Payment/Excluded Parties listings.
