Lombard, IL – AgeGuide, the Area Agency on Aging for Northeastern Illinois, is pleased to announce it is soliciting Letters of Interest from non-profit and local government organizations qualified to receive Federal/State of Illinois financial assistance grants. These funds provide services for older adults (age 60+) as authorized under the Older Americans Act of 1965 in the 8-county region. The funding period follows the federal fiscal year from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025.

Fundable services include:

  • Aging & Disability Resource Network services (Information & Assistance, Medicare/Medicaid Benefits Counseling, & Public Education)
  • Transportation
  • Community Connection Collaborative (Education, Recreation, & Health Screening)
  • Legal Services
  • Friendly Visiting
  • Targeted Outreach to Culturally Diverse Older Adults
  • Health Promotion

The service provider must adhere to the AgeGuide General Service Requirements in addition to service-specific requirements. For further information about grant requirements and the application process, visit www.ageguide.org/rfp

Successful applicants must comply with all applicable pre-qualification requirements. These  include, but are not limited to: provide Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and System for Award Management (SAM) numbers, demonstrate acceptable fiscal management/stability (including the ability to meet matching requirements), and show evidence of good standing with the Secretary of State with no Debarred/Suspended/Stop Payment/Excluded parties listings.
