Lombard, IL – The Board of Directors of AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois has appointed Mary Kay Furiasse to the Agency’s Advisory Council as a DuPage County representative. Mary Kay will fill a vacant position and serve a three-year term.

Mary Kay has spent the majority of her career as an Elder Law attorney. She has had her own practice for 30 years which is located in Lisle. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mary Kay was a nurse. She previously sat on the Board for DuPage Senior Citizens Council, a senior nutrition provider for AgeGuide. She has worked with many caregivers and families of loved ones with chronic illness who seek assistance and guidance for care choices for their loved ones. Because of this, Mary Kay is an advocate for advanced life care planning, a document that identifies a person’s future medical and supportive care needs.

“AgeGuide is thrilled to welcome Mary Kay to the Advisory Council” said Marla Fronczak, Chief Executive Officer for AgeGuide. “Her career serving older adults and background in Elder Law will prove beneficial in her new roll.”

Mary Kay is passionate about serving older adults and her expertise will be a great resource for the Advisory Council.
