Lombard, IL – AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois is excited to announce the election of its new Slate of Officers for the Board of Directors. Each board officer is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people on their aging journey.
Gregory Thompson assumes the position of Chairperson representing Lake County. Greg is the former Director of Corporate Strategic Planning for UOP/Honeywell. He sits on the Executive, Operations, Grants and Planning committees and will lead AgeGuide in the development and adoption of its FY23-25 Strategic Plan. He is an active member of his community and enjoys helping others through his nonprofit volunteer work.
Lou Ann Johnson assumes the position of 1st Vice Chairperson representing Will County. She chairs the Operations Committee and is a member of the Executive, Grants, and Planning committees. She is an active member of the community and an advocate for older adults and people with disabilities.
Ralph Feese assumes the position of 2nd Vice Chairperson representing DuPage County. Ralph is a retired educator and US Army Veteran. He chairs the Legislative committee and is a member of the Executive and Legislative committees. He is an active member of his church community, is involved with other community organizations and loves to spend time with his family.
Bruce Conway assumes the position of Treasurer representing Kankakee County. Bruce is currently retired and finished his career as the Assistant Director of Administration for Hartford County Maryland Department of Social Services. He sits on the Executive, Finance and Operations committees. Bruce enjoys hobbies such as tennis, playing cards, reading and serving his community.
Paula Yensen assumes the position of Assistant Treasurer representing McHenry County. She chairs the Grants Committee and is a member of the Executive, Nominating and Operations committees. Paula is an Elected McHenry County Board Member representing the 5th District. She is an active member of her community, serving on many committees for McHenry County. She is a great advocate and champion for older adults.
Cheryl Ghassan assumes the position of Secretary representing DuPage County. Cheryl is the Owner & President of Senior Citizen Advisors where she helps older adults, and their families find services and resources. She also educates the community on services that are available and where to find them. She sits on the Nominating and Grants committees.

AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois, an Area Agency on Aging, is a nonprofit organization responsible for developing and coordinating a network of services for older persons throughout an eight-county area in northeastern Illinois. AgeGuide informs and advises public and private agencies and the general public of the needs of older persons living in its region, and acts as an advocate on their behalf. The Agency serves DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will Counties.
