September is Healthy Aging Month, which focuses on the positive aspects of the aging journey. AgeGuide encourages older adults to take charge of their well-being both physically (by aging with a healthy body) and mentally (by maintaining a healthy mind). In our 8-county region, there are many ways that older adults can maintain health, happiness, and lead fulfilling lives. Overall, this month is dedicated to achieving a more positive outlook on the process of growing older.
Now, more than ever, it is especially important for older adults to remain active, connected, and engaged. AgeGuide has many programs (both in-person and virtual) to assist older adults in their process of healthy aging. It’s never too late to learn technology, meet new peers, or dive into a new hobby! To learn more about the programs available, see the links down below and contact the Care Coordination Unit in your county.
