Lombard, IL – The Board of Directors of AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois has appointed Lore Baker to the Agency’s Advisory Council for a three-year term as a Kane County representative.

Ms. Baker serves as President and CEO of the Association for Individual Development (AID) which covers Kane, Kendall, McHenry, Western Cook, DuPage, Will and DeKalb counties. Ms. Baker has a master’s degree in Gerontology and is excited to assist in the planning and provision of services for older adults.

“AgeGuide is pleased to welcome Lore to the Advisory Council” said Marla Fronczak, Chief Executive Officer for AgeGuide. “We are thrilled to have her insight and experience on our Advisory Council. Her extensive knowledge of older adults and especially adults living with disabilities will help AgeGuide better meet the needs of an underserved population.”

AID currently runs the Senior Sunshine phone line in a partnership with Senior services Associates within Aurora Township and will be expanding services in Elgin and McHenry County. In addition to her career at AID, Ms. Baker has spent over 20 years working in supportive housing working for Illinois Affordable Housing Development and Services.

AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois, an Area Agency on Aging, is a nonprofit organization responsible for developing and coordinating a network of services for older persons throughout an eight-county area in northeastern Illinois. AgeGuide informs and advises public and private agencies and the general public of the needs of older persons living in the area, and acts as an advocate on their behalf.
