The AgeGuide podcast is coming to your favorite streaming service this year. The Age Guide: Perspectives on the Aging Journey will launch in February 2022. As part of our mission to be a vital resource and advocate for people as we age, we hope to provide thoughtful conversations and meaningful connections through this podcast. We’ll put a face on aging and give a voice to older adults and caregivers by highlighting their experiences and stories. We want to provide a window into the struggles and joys of aging to dispel myths and combat ageism.
How Do I Find the Podcast?
Some of you may be asking how you can get ready for this exciting podcast launch. Well, the first thing you need to do is find a music streaming website that you like the most, like Apple Music, Amazon Music or Spotify and create an account. Then you just have to wait for our next newsletter to click on the link that will lead you to our show. In our next newsletter we will have our first episode featuring caregivers who’s loved ones lived in long-term care during the COVID lockdowns. Tune in to hear what it was like behind closed doors, what families experienced, and how caregivers fared.
What Will I hear on The Age Guide?
During this podcast we’ll interview guests about their experiences and expertise, share their personal stories and unique perspectives about their aging journey. We’ll feature an “Age Stage” which gives our guest a soapbox on which to talk about any topic they care about. This will provide a platform for guests to share their opinions and passions. We ‘re excited to feature some of the many diverse and engaging older adults and advocates in our region on many different topics. Who knows? It might even be you one day! We’d love to hear any questions or insights you may have about aging.
