AgeGuide, the Area Agency on Aging for Northeastern Illinois, announced today that effective October 1, 2025, Lifescape Community Services (Lifescape) will become the new nutrition provider for Older Americans Act (OAA) home-delivered meal and community dining programs in McHenry County. Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Chicago will continue providing nutrition services in Lake County. AgeGuide is pleased to continue partnering with Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Chicago to provide vital services for older adults.
Lifescape Community Services (Lifescape) is a long-standing leader in senior nutrition, serving several counties across Illinois, and is a proud member of Meals on Wheels America. Under the new partnership, Lifescape will continue meal delivery to all current clients of Home Delivered Meals in McHenry County and they will take over the operation of all existing community dining locations throughout the county.

Founded in 1989 as Community Kitchen, Lifescape has built a strong track record of delivering high-quality nutrition and wellness services for older adults. With this expansion, Lifescape is committed to ensuring that the older adults residing in McHenry County continue to receive reliable, compassionate meal services. AgeGuide and Lifescape will work closely together to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of care for all current and future participants.
Funding for OAA nutrition programs comes from a combination of federal Older American Act funds, state funds, and support from community partners and individual donations. AgeGuide administers funds in DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will Counties.
